1. About this policy

This privacy policy explains how Thera VR Inc. ("Thera VR," "we," "us" or "our") collects, uses and shares personal information when you visit theravr.health (the "Site"), contact us or buy a subscription. It doesn't cover third-party websites, platforms or services, such as Meta, which have their own policies.

2. Information we collect

Information you give us. When you email us, book a call or buy a subscription, we may collect your name, email address, phone number, practice name, professional details such as your license type and number, the account you'd like us to invite, billing details, and anything else you choose to include in your messages.

Information collected automatically. Like most websites, our hosting provider records basic technical information when you visit, such as your IP address, browser and device type, the pages you request, the page that referred you and the date and time. We use it to run, secure and fix the Site.

Cookies and similar technologies. The Site doesn't use advertising or tracking cookies, tracking pixels or analytics tools. Your browser may keep a few small settings for the length of your visit, such as display preferences, in session storage on your device. They stay on your device and are cleared when you close the tab. If we add analytics in the future, we'll update this policy first.

Payment information. If you buy a subscription, your payment is processed by our payment provider. We receive confirmation of the payment and limited details such as your name, email address, billing address and the last digits of your card, but never your full card number.

Information we don't want. Please don't send us information about your clients, such as their names, contact details or health information. The Site and our general email aren't designed to receive it.

3. How we use information

  • to answer your questions and provide support
  • to process purchases, give you access and manage your subscription
  • to confirm eligibility for our professional plans
  • to send service messages, such as receipts, renewal reminders and notices of important changes
  • to run, secure, maintain and improve the Site and the Services
  • to comply with the law, enforce our terms and protect our rights and the safety of others

We'll only send you marketing emails where the law allows it, and you can unsubscribe at any time.

4. How we share information

We don't sell your personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We share it only:

  • with service providers that help us run our business, such as website hosting, email, scheduling and payment processing, and the headset platform you use when we give you access. They may use it only to provide their services to us.
  • when the law requires it, or to protect the rights, property or safety of Thera VR, our customers or others
  • as part of a merger, acquisition, financing or sale of assets, subject to this policy
  • with your consent or at your direction

5. How long we keep information

We keep personal information for as long as we need it for the purposes above, including providing the Services and meeting our legal, tax and accounting obligations, and then delete or anonymize it. Our hosting provider keeps its request logs for a limited time.

6. Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical and physical measures to protect personal information. No way of sending or storing information is completely secure, so we can't guarantee absolute security.

7. Your choices and rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to know what personal information we hold about you, to access, correct or delete it, and to object to or limit some uses of it. California residents have rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act, including the rights to know, delete and correct personal information and not to be discriminated against for using these rights. We don't sell or share personal information as that law defines those terms.

To make a request, email support@theravr.health. We may need to confirm your identity before we act on it.

8. Children

The Site and our subscriptions are meant for adult professionals. The Site is not directed to children, and we don't knowingly collect personal information through it from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has given us personal information, please contact us and we'll delete it.

9. Other websites and services

The Site links to other websites and services, such as our scheduling page, articles and podcasts. They have their own privacy practices, so please read their policies.

10. Where information is processed

We're based in the United States, and the information we collect is processed there.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We'll post the new version here with a new "Last updated" date and, where the law requires it, tell you about significant changes.
